The British Franchise Association's Franchise Group for Scotland (FGFS) represents the British Franchise Association (bfa) in Scotland . The FGFS was formed in March 2002 after the bfa recognised a real potential for franchising and the need to coordinate efforts to raise the profile of the sector in Scotland.
This year sees the sixth Scottish Franchise Week - a week in June devoted to increasing awareness of franchising in Scotland . The week, June 1st - June 5th, includes a business breakfast, franchise awareness seminars and Scottish Franchise Showcase event.
Franchising will take on a decidedly Scottish flavour this summer for the sixth Scottish Franchise Week (SFW), a week of events presented by the British Franchise Association's Franchise Group for Scotland (FGFS).
Throughout the week, 1st – 5th June, a number of franchise events will be taking place in Scotland .
Sponsored by Moreland Insurance, the aim of Scottish Franchise Week is to raise awareness of ethical franchising and the role which it plays in business start-up and job creation in Scotland.
One of the highlights of the week will be the Business Breakfast event on 4th June which will include presentations from a leading Scottish entrepreneur and successful Scottish franchisee, and also the Scottish Franchise Showcase, which includes bfa seminars and franchisor-led case studies in a comprehensive conference programme.
