The British Franchise Association's Franchise Group for Scotland (FGFS) represents the British Franchise Association (bfa) in Scotland. The FGFS was formed in March 2002 after the bfa recognised a real potential for franchising and the need to coordinate efforts to raise the profile of the sector in Scotland.

Cariss and Graham Moir have been operating a myhome plc franchise in Stirling and West Lothian for just over three and half years.
We had always been in retail prior to franchising, with my husband Graham working as an Area Manager with JJB Sports covering central Scotland. I had worked for various retailers, from the sports sector to the woman's clothing and finished up at British Home Stores in Leith (Edinburgh), as the Store Manager.
We both felt the time was right to run our own business as we were working too many hours for other people… but we were too scared to “go it alone”. I figured it was a safer option choosing a recognised franchise brand like myhome.
