Creating Lasting Jobs and Businesses in Scotland

"The British Franchise Association (bfa) and the bfa's Scottish Forum represent franchising in Scotland. The bfa recognises a real potential for franchising in Scotland, helping to produce numerous new business start-ups in the country and many more jobs. Through various events, seminar and work with the media and government the bfa hopes to help Scotland realise its full franchising potential.

The group brings together the champions for ethical franchising in Scotland and with the strap line 'Creating Lasting Jobs and Businesses in Scotland' aims to secure 1000 new franchised unit businesses in Scotland over the next five years."

What's Happening in Scottish Franchise Week(SFW) 2012

Business Breakfast Franchising will take on a decidedly Scottish flavour this summer for the ninth Scottish Franchise Week (SFW), a week of events presented by the British Franchise Association's focus in Scotland.

Throughout the week, 30th April to the 4th May , a number of franchise events will be taking place in Scotland.

The aim of Scottish Franchise Week is to raise awareness of ethical franchising and the role which it plays in business start-up and job creation in Scotland.

During Scottish Franchise Week a whole host of events and educational platforms are put in place to help raise the awareness of franchising in Scotland. The Scottish Business Breakfast remains the key event with 300 business people attending, but in recent years, parliamentary receptions, dinners, seminars and exhibitions have all played their part.
